| Endowment Fund In June, 2002, two Endowment Funds were created which will eventually help offset future operating costs associated with direct health care delivery to the uninsured here in Lorain County. The Board also established an endowment fund at the Community Foundation of Greater Lorain County to help promote the work of the Free Clinic in the community and to also give donors another choice when making gifts to established worthwhile community causes.
The Free Clinic Endowment Fund program uses a designated percentage of the income generated to help fund the Prescription Drug Fund, other important operating expenses and for future capital needs.
Individuals can make a contribution in the form of a Memorial or an Honorarium. These important gifts become a permanent part of the Endowment Fund. Gifts made in honor or in memory of friends or loved ones will serve to perpetuate the vital work of the Lorain County Free Clinic.
The endowments are overseen with the input of the Lorain County Free Clinic Endowment Committee and with the professional guidance of its fund managers charged with helping foster growth for the future and to enhance program sustainability.
